PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated May 18, 2026
This Privacy Notice for Use EDGE ('we', 'us', or 'our'), describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share ('process') your personal information when you use our services ('Services'), including when you:
- Visit our website at useedge.co.uk
- Use EDGE — an AI-powered sales coaching tool for recruitment consultants that helps 360° recruitment consultants prepare for client and candidate calls, analyse their performance after each call, and reduce the administrative work that follows. The service stores call metadata, AI-generated reports, and post-call output in a UK GDPR-compliant database. Raw transcripts and audio recordings are never stored.
- Engage with us in other related ways, including any marketing or events
TABLE OF CONTENTS
1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you disclose to us
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, or otherwise when you contact us. The personal information we collect may include:
- Names
- Email addresses
- Passwords
- Prospect names and company names
- Call metadata (call stage, platform, duration, call date)
Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive information.
Payment Data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you choose to make purchases. All payment data is handled and stored by Stripe. You may find their privacy notice at https://stripe.com/gb/privacy.
2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
We process your personal information for the following reasons:
- To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts.
- To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user. We process your information to provide you with the requested service.
- To respond to user enquiries and offer support.
- To send administrative information to you, including details about our products and services and changes to our terms and policies.
- To save or protect an individual's vital interest.
- To provide candidate screening intelligence. Where you upload or paste a candidate CV and a job specification, we process that content through an AI model to identify gaps between the candidate's experience and the role requirements, and to generate targeted screening questions. The CV text is processed ephemerally and is never stored on our servers. Only the anonymised, role-attached output (gap analysis and questions) is retained. No candidate name or identifier is stored against this output.
- To perform client-side data minimisation on candidate CVs. Before any CV content is sent for AI processing, EDGE detects and removes personal identifiers (including name, email address, phone number, postal address, and other sensitive fields) within your browser. This redaction occurs locally on your device. Only the redacted text is transmitted to our AI processing pipeline.
3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
The GDPR and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on. We may rely on the following:
- Consent. We may process your information if you have given us permission for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Performance of a Contract. We may process your personal information when necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations to you.
- Legitimate Interests. We may process your information when we believe it is reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests, including processing prospect names and company names entered by you to generate call reports and coaching content.
- Legal Obligations. We may process your information where necessary for compliance with our legal obligations.
- Vital Interests. We may process your information where necessary to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of a third party.
4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We may share information in specific situations and with the following third parties:
- Supabase — database and authentication (EU region)
- Anthropic — AI analysis via Claude API
- Deepgram — transcription (where audio is uploaded)
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email
- Vercel — application hosting
- Business Transfers. We may share your information in connection with any merger, sale, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
5. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
We use only technically necessary cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
6. DO WE OFFER ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED PRODUCTS?
Yes. We offer products, features, and tools powered by artificial intelligence. Our AI Products are designed for text analysis, AI automation, and AI insights. We provide these through Anthropic. Your input and personal information will be shared with and processed by Anthropic to enable your use of our AI Products. You must not use the AI Products in any way that violates the terms or policies of any AI Service Provider.
Candidate CV Analysis. EDGE also offers an AI-powered candidate screening feature. Recruiters may upload or paste a candidate CV alongside a job specification. EDGE uses a large language model (Anthropic Claude) to compare the CV against the role requirements and generate gap-targeted screening questions. Prior to AI processing, EDGE performs automated detection and removal of personal identifiers (name, email, phone, address) within the recruiter's browser — only redacted CV text is transmitted to the AI model. The raw CV and any redacted text are not stored by EDGE at any point. The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interests: recruitment consultants have a legitimate interest in efficiently and accurately screening candidates for vacancies they are managing. Candidates whose CVs are processed have the rights described in Section 10 of this notice.
7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice. No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us. Call reports, post-call packs, and associated call data are automatically deleted after 12 months from the date of the call.
8. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational security measures including encryption at rest (AES-256), encryption in transit (TLS), and row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data. However, no electronic transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
9. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at info@useedge.co.uk.
10. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In some regions (like the EEA and UK), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right to (i) request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) request rectification or erasure, (iii) restrict the processing of your personal information, (iv) data portability, and (v) not be subject to automated decision-making. You may also have the right to object to processing.
Withdrawing your consent: You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at info@useedge.co.uk.
Opting out of marketing communications: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
Account Information
If you would like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:
- Log in to your account settings and update your user account.

11. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track ('DNT') feature. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals.
12. TRANSCRIPT PROCESSING AND DISCARDING
When you submit a call transcript for analysis, that transcript is sent to Anthropic's API for processing and is immediately discarded upon completion. Transcripts are never written to our database or retained in any form. Only the AI-generated output derived from the transcript (such as your call report, coaching feedback, and post-call pack) is stored. Audio recordings are never collected or stored at any point.
13. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated date at the top of this Privacy Notice. If we make material changes, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice or by directly sending you a notification.
14. HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?

If you are a resident in the United Kingdom, we are the 'data controller' of your personal information. Our UK representative is Jeremy Kabongo, reachable at info@useedge.co.uk or useedge.co.uk.
